When you work with a staffing firm, you’re not simply getting a resume handed over the fence. You’re getting a full-service approach. We’ve sourced candidates, screened and interviewed them, reviewed relevant work samples, and gone beyond what you can learn from a resume alone. We’ve done the legwork.
By the time a resume reaches a hiring manager, we’ve already screened the candidate to ensure they align with the job description and requirements provided.
Then we ask, “Do you have any feedback on the candidate we shared with you?”
There’s a reason for this. We don’t simply want a pat on the back. We want to understand how the candidate aligns with what you’re looking for. What key skills or experience stand out to you? Just as importantly, what isn’t working? What might be missing from the candidate we provided? Is there something you didn’t initially think was important but now realize is?
These details matter because they help us fine-tune our search. We want to find the right candidate for your team, and sometimes it takes a few tries to get there. It’s a process, and it goes both ways. Without your feedback, we’re somewhat in the dark, trying to understand what needs to change without having all the information.
For example, if a candidate lacks the experience you need, that’s fair. But what specifically was missing? Did they need more hands-on experience, greater independence, or exposure to a particular type of project?
On the other hand, perhaps a candidate had experience with a particular software program that really stood out to you, even though it wasn’t listed in the original job description. Great! Tell us so we can make a note of it and incorporate that insight into our search moving forward.
The more we understand what you’re looking for, the better we can fine-tune our approach and identify candidates who are an even stronger match for your team.
Hiring is a collaborative process. Your feedback helps us adjust our approach, narrow our search, and present candidates who are an even stronger match for your team.
Ultimately, we want to get the job done right, and your feedback helps us do just that.
